Learning Records Service (LRS)
Maytas 5 can connect to the Learning Records Service (LRS) to obtain unique learner numbers (ULNs) for your learners. The first step in this is to register with the LRS, as a certificate is required to establish the connection. To register, the form (available here) must be completed and returned to lrssupport@learningrecordsservice.org.uk. Please note that since this form is maintained by the LRS, any queries about completing the form should be directed to the LRS support team.
Once you have received your certificate, please contact Maytas Support for instructions on how to connect to the LRS.
Instructions on using the LRS import and export tools in Maytas can be found here.
LRS URL Change
In September 2019, the LRS are changing the URLs for the services Maytas uses, and as such these need updating in Maytas for the LRS and PLR to continue to work:
- In Maytas, click the M5 button at the top-left and select Options.
- Select LRS Tools on the left (under the Maytas 5 header).
- Locate the LRS Service URL on the right. It should currently read https://ws.uklrs.miap.gov.uk/MIAPWebService/services/LearnerService
- Change it to https://ws.lrs.education.gov.uk/MIAPWebService/services/LearnerService
- If you use the PLR, locate the LRS Service URL for PLR download config, which should currently read https://ws.uklrs.miap.gov.uk/QcfServices/LearnerServiceR9.svc
- Change it to https://ws.lrs.education.gov.uk/LearnerServiceR9.svc
- Click OK.
If you have any issues with connecting to the LRS or PLR after updating the URLs, please contact the LRS support desk at lrssupport@learningrecordsservice.org.uk. Please note that Maytas Support are unable to assist with LRS service issues.
